Breakfast

Breakfast at The Flying Leap is sweet.  Quite literally, our breakfasts lean towards the sweeter side, with baked goods created with love and enthusiasm (but our Eggs Benedict seems to make everyone smile, too).  Oh yes, we love to share our affection for food! 

 

 

    **Breakfast is served between 8:00 - 8:30, please let us know your preferred time when you check-in.
        Rising early?  If you need an earlier breakfast, just let us know and we'll be ready to get you started
        bright and on time!  Please tell us your needs when you make your reservations or at least 24 hours in
        advance.**

When you come down in the mornings (guided by the scents of baking yeast, molten apples, sizzling ham or simmering cinnamon), please help yourself to the fruit and yogurt, granola and other cereals.  

 

But that's only the start!  

 

 

 

Following the hot meal, be prepared to be tempted with goodies like:

 

Cinnamon Swirls

Wake up to the intoxicating scent of hot, decadent, buttery cinnamon swirls!  Sinfully buttery, this yeast-based dough is filled with cinnamon, butter and crushed almond slivers, then curled up around itself to form pull-apart spirals! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Marbled Carrot Cake

We hunted for a carrot cake recipe that would not need icing and found this!   Sweetened just so with honey, this moist, mildly spiced carrot cake receives generous spoonfuls of cheese cake, swirled into the batter before baking.  The result?  A rich, moist combination of flavours, with the cheese cake supplying the protein you need to launch a perfect day!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Apple-Almond Cake

Apples through and through, this cake (served warm of course) with just a hint of cinnamon, is perfect with a dollop of yogurt and steaming coffee and is sure to satisfy.  The almond sugar crust adds just the right amount of crunch!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Almond Croissants

Like visiting a Parisienne cafe, crispy traditional almond croissants hot out of the oven.  Bon appetit!

 

 

 

 

 

  Seconds anyone? 

You can choose to eat in our formal dining room or in our 3-season sun room, which has space for 4 guests on parlour chairs seated at a round table.  Guests staying with their dogs have priority for our sun room area as it's nicer for the dogs.

 

We strive to make your stay as enjoyable and trouble free as possible, so gluten free is not a problem.  Again, please let us know when you book your stay so that we can prepare a breakfast that's scrumptious and pleasing just for you.  Vegetarian?  We applaud you!  As long as you're still eating eggs and dairy, we would be happy to serve you a delicious breakfast.

 

**There are A LOT of nuts in our kitchen so sadly we can't provide a nut-free environment for allergy sufferers. **
